• Seeds of Buckwheat Fagopyrum esculentum (Oghla), F. tataricum (Phaphra, Kathu) was produced in Mandi and Kinnaur Districts of Himachal Pradesh for mass cultivation of the species to develop products and rural enterprise keeping in view that of nutritional as well as the therapeutic values of the these traditional crops and wild apricot was carried out in different areas of Mandi and Kinnaur District.
• 18 Kg seed of Fagopyrum esculentum produced in 2012 was further multiplied during the year under progress and 130 Kg was harvested for further distribution to farmers, who have lost even the seed stock to establish their individual plantations in sowing season of the 2014 in District High Hill Mountains under Gohar Block of District Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.
